Situated on over an acre of tropical forest, and built into natural surroundings, this modern vacation home offers all the conveniences of contemporary living. At 900 feet above the sea, you'll enjoy the most spectacular sunrises and breathtaking vistas of Coral Bay, East End, BVI's, and the Drake Passage.

Private and secluded on a cul-de-sac, yet 5 minutes away from the village of Coral Bay, Chudali is surrounded by untouched island foliage, as well as decorative flowering plants and fruit trees. High elevation and constant tradewinds assure cool comfort, tranquility and closeness with nature. A large tiled patio area is just steps to a tiled pool deck, where you can relax in an informal and comfortable setting, enjoy the cool pool, natural stone wall and Saltillo floor tile, the artistic touches of the owner/artist, and most of all, the ever-changing colors of the Caribbean.

The house features a large Great Room with comfortable furnishings and an entertainment center (internet, Roku). A 15 feet sliding glass door in the living room opens to a spacious covered deck overlooking the harbor below. The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, plenty of cabinets and counter space. The house sleeps up to four guests comfortably. Two air-conditioned bedroom suites, one with king-size bed and one with two twins, both with private baths, open to a fully furnished deck with magnificent views. There is also a full bathroom on the main floor.

The most famous beaches and National Park trails are within 15-minute drive. There are hiking trails right from the house, leading to one of the most beautiful hidden National Park treasures, Lameshure Bay, where you can enjoy great snorkeling. The nearby village of Coral Bay offers restaurants, grocery stores, snorkeling and boat rentals, as well as horseback riding.

Please note: The house is not childproof and a four-wheel drive vehicle is preferred. It is, however, older people friendly. There is an apartment down below main house with a separate entrance and driveway with a very quiet professional young tenant. There is NO smoking in the house.

Yes, a four-wheel drive vehicle is preferable.

Where to shop for groceries in Coral Bay?

There are two full supply grocery stores in Coral Bay open till 10pm: Love City and Lilly's Market in Coccoloba shopping area. There are also supermarkets in Cruz Bay. Two conveniently located are Dolphins and Market Place both of which have a bigger variety of produce. There are also a drug store and an excellent Gourmet shop.

What is weather like on your property?

It is always cooler here and there are a lot of breezes up on the hill so it is always pleasant. The weather can change from one part of the Island to another and even if it rains on the property chances are there is sun on one of the beaches at the same time.

Do you have air-conditioning?

We have a unit in each bedroom but it is rarely needed. There are also ceiling fans in each room.

Are there restaurants nearby?

Yes, there are several places nearby in Coral Bay.

What activities do you recommend ?

Swimming, snorkeling , hiking, boat trips, relaxing on the deck by the swimming pool, enjoying the view and taking lots of photos of spectacular scenery, visiting nearby islands.

What is your hurricane policy?

Please consider getting a Travel Insurance policy when booking during hurricane season. In case of a trip cancellation due to hurricane we will make every effort to reschedule your stay at your convenience. If hurricane arrives during your stay no refunds will be provided.

What to bring?

Consider traveling light and bringing only your favorites: sunscreen (coral safe), bug repellent, light clothing, toiletries. Anything you forget can be found in local stores. People dress very casually on the Island.
